Here is a screenshot of a few of the members' discussion forum.
Folks are diving in and talking about a variety of issues.

New to this newsletter?

First, thanks for signing up. I hope you enjoy and benefit from the
articles.

Second, sorry if you signed up by responding to the sweepstakes ad.
The prizes were given away last week. There was a mix up on the ad
being placed—timing wise that is.

Does Nature Establish Morality?

Some think so. I take a magazine called The Week. It provides a
summary of the week's news events. In the latest issue (March 7,
2008) it gives a synopsis of an article from The New York Times. It
states, “When it comes to defining sexual deviance…Mother Nature
does a lousy job.” The Times article said some animals engage in
homosexual behavior while others undergo gender changes. The
thrust, of course, is the homosexuality and sex changes among
humans (just another animal in their eyes) is natural.

Here's the problem.

Some animals also eat their young. I remember in school our class
had hamsters. We came in one morning and the mother had eaten her
babies. How did we know? Some were only half-eaten. Is this a
standard from nature we should adopt? On second thought, many have
adopted a similar view with abortion.

To further disgust you… Anyone who has a cat or dog knows how they
clean themselves. Should humans take a cue from them on hygiene?
Several months back there was a push by Cheryl Crow to use only one
square of tissue after using the bathroom. This would save even
that square to spare our environment.

This all may be a little crude for some folks, my apologies, but
one way to illustrate the absurd is by being absurd.

Anyway, men who love sin and darkness will constantly come up with
some way to justify their immorality. Their standard and reasoning
shifts from one generation to another; their moral compass is
broken. They push God out of their mind and end up living in a base
manner (Rom. 1:18-32). This includes homosexuality.

The fact is regardless of what animals may or may not do; there is
a standard for mankind. It is God's Word (Col. 3:17; 1 Pet. 4:11).
It condemns homosexuality in no-uncertain terms (1 Cor. 6:9, 10).
Notice that the inspired Word says homosexuality is “against
nature” (Rom. 1:26, 27). The same passages that address this will
also cover the idea of a sex-change operation. It is perverted and
vile.

Bible morals have always been attacked by the world. Those few of
us who accept them need to guard against fallacious arguments that
erode biblical truth. We must teach our children so they are
prepared to meet such error and be better equipped to keep their
moral compass pointed in the right direction.
